The PIXCI SI2 frame grabber from Epix Inc. (Buffalo Grove, Ill.) supports two high-resolution SILICON VIDEO cameras on the x1 PCI Express bus. With 64 megabytes of on-board memory, the PIXCI SI2 allows image capture at rates up to 280 megabytes per second, surpassing the x1 PCI Express 200 megabyte per second bandwidth limit, and allowing capture of short bursts of high-resolution images from two cameras. Both free-run and async capture modes are provided. TTL trigger and strobe connectors allow async capture and strobe control. Two cameras can be synchronized for simultaneous or stereo image capture. The PIXCI SI2 is available with a standard height or a low-profile bracket. Compatible SILICON VIDEO cameras have resolutions from 0.3 to 10 megapixels. The PIXCI SI2 frame grabber, with XCAP-Lite software, is $995. www.epixinc.com
